Director of New Business Development

Description

Duality is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded business development professional to uncover new use cases in existing and new markets, define value fundamentals, and validate the market opportunity by leading the initial go-to-market approach and helping close the first commercial engagements.

After establishing a beachhead and validating the market through lighthouse sales, this person can repeat the process with additional use cases or become the business line owner and build a GTM team for further scale.

Responsibilities 

Identify potential markets: Find a specific customer segment where Duality can bring significant customer value with our current set of capabilities

Evaluate market fundamentals

Evaluate the problem, market dynamics, addressable market

Formulate the customer value and expected ROI

Identify and interview potential customers

Define buyer personas to aid in initial go to market approach

Build core positioning and strategy: Define the initial product, audience, messages, value propositions, positioning, and marketing and sales strategy

Lead building initial marketing and sales materials

Work with sales and bizdev to execute the GTM

Aid in closing the first sales opportunities to validate the abov



Requirements

Experience working at early stage startups as a leader in GTM, or in new business units at existing organizations

Ability to grasp and translate complex technologies and concepts into clear business-oriented value propositions

Proven success launching new B2B products to new markets

Demonstrated ability to work in highly collaborative and geographically distributed environments to drive execution

Adaptability and flexibility – be ready to learn about and dive into new use cases and sectors

Teamwork, interpersonal and relationship-building skills; strong leader and player with proven ability to facilitate cross-organizational alignment


Advantage

Familiarity with privacy enhancing technologies (like homomorphic encryption, multiparty computation, differential privacy, and more) and data collaboration 

Background in financial services, telecommunications, healthcare/pharmaceuticals, or public sector

Ability to work independently

Experience working with remote and international teams
